Deposits and Payments

Project Timeline

Permits and Compliance

The customer is responsible for obtaining necessary permits unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Smith Building will comply with all local building codes and regulations. We maintain proper licensing and insurance as required by Illinois state law and local ordinances.

Warranties

We stand behind our work with the following warranty coverage:

Cancellations

Projects may be cancelled with written notice. Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced. Cancellation fees may apply based on the stage of project completion. We reserve the right to terminate service for non-payment or breach of contract.

Limitation of Liability

Smith Building shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Intellectual Property

The website design, logos, content, and materials are the property of Smith Building and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Whiteside County, Illinois.
